Spotting this treasure box from the canyon floor is easy enough, yet reaching its elevated location requires specific gear upgrades and a clever traversal path. Understanding the exact route prevents hours of aimless platforming attempts across the desert landscape.
Required Upgrades Before Attempting the Climb
Players cannot access this high cliff chest during their initial visit to Jedha. Reaching the elevated plateau requires the Upgraded Ascension Cable, which Cal unlocks later in the main storyline during Chapter 5. Additionally, players must gain access to the nearby Path of Conviction area to utilize the local wildlife for long-distance gliding.
Navigating to the Path of Conviction
To begin the journey, travel toward the Desert Ridge region located between Cere's Base and the surrounding desert ruins. Head toward the rocky spires nearing the Path of Conviction and locate the floating grapple points hovering nearby. Use the upgraded grapple to zip across these panels, scaling the rock walls until you reach the top plateau of the Path of Conviction.
Gliding Across the Canyon to the Hidden Ledge
Once you reach the summit of the Path of Conviction, look around for a perched Relter creature resting near the cliff edge. Mount the flying creature and launch directly toward the elevated cliff on the opposite side of the canyon in Desert Ridge. Maintain high altitude during the flight, using Cal's jump and mid-air dash at the end of the glide to ensure you land safely on the high rock shelf.

Landing successfully on the high ridge brings you face-to-face with the elusive chest guarded by the surrounding mountain scenery.
